What personal data we collect and why we collect it
1. MAKING A RESERVATION
There are several ways of making a booking with us, including the following:
- By calling us on 01524 941449
- Online using our secure online booking system
- By emailing the hotel directly (payment details cannot be taken by email)
Via a third-party booking agent such as Booking.com.
When making a reservation via a third party such as Booking.com, our privacy policy will apply to any personal information shared with us.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil our service to you, for business or legal purposes, or in accordance with applicable laws.
DURING YOUR STAY
Upon arrival, we will use your personal information stored in our property management system to confirm your booking and identify you. This is the information collected when making your reservation or if booked via a third party agent such as Booking.com, upon check-in.
We also record your itemised spending during your stay for the purposes of billing. This information is also recorded to comply with financial reporting requirements.
For overseas visitors, we are required by local law to collection your passport number and next destination. We will only hold passport information for 12 months as required by law.
DOWNLOADING A BROCHURE
If you complete any of our brochure download request forms on our website your personal information collected will be used to assist with your enquiry should you need any further assistance
PURCHASING A GIFT VOUCHER VIA OUR WEBSITE
To fulfil your order personal information including your name, telephone number and email address will be collected. You will be contacted for your payment details. Please do not include payment details in the request or emails.
If you opt to have your voucher delivered, you will be asked for your address or the recipients address. If you provide any personal information of the recipient, they will be notified when receiving their voucher of how we have used their data and their right to be forgotten.
We can access your contact information and order history; however, we cannot access your payment information.
CCTV
CCTV is installed in public areas, entrances and exits of our properties for the prevention and detection of crime. Footage is securely stored and is only accessible to authorised personnel. Footage may be shared with authorities if required by law.
Comments & Contact Forms
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We may also collect information you volunteer in any communication with us, including when you make a booking or purchase, respond to a survey or offer, or sign up for a newsletter.
